💲 Creating a Discount

You can easily create discounts in salonMonster to apply during checkout for sales or services.

✨ Here’s How

1. Open Settings

   From the Menu ☰, select Settings.

2. Select Point of Sale

   Choose Point of Sale from the list.

3. Access Discounts

   Under Point of Sale settings, select Discounts.

4. Choose Discount Type

   You can create two types of discounts:

   • Salon Discounts — available to all staff at the salon.

   • Stylist Discounts — available only to you.

For example, to create a salon-wide discount, select Salon Discounts.

1. Create a New Discount

   Tap the ＋ in the top-right corner to add a new discount.

2. Set Discount Details

   • Name your discount — give it a clear name for easy identification.

   • Enter the discount rate — either as a percentage (e.g., 10%) or a fixed amount (e.g., $5).

   • (Optional) For commission salons, choose whether the discount affects commissions:

   • Discount Commission ON — reduces the commission by the same percentage as the discount.

   • Discount Commission OFF — calculates commission based on the full price before discount.

3. Save the Discount

   Tap Save to apply your settings.

✅ Tip: Once you’ve saved a discount, you can apply it directly during checkout when completing a sale.
