💳 Charging a Customer Using Your Payment Terminal

You can process a payment directly through your salonMonster payment terminal from any device — desktop, tablet, or mobile. Here’s the step-by-step guide.


🪜 Follow These Steps

  1. Select a booking

    your calendar, choose the booking you want to check out.

  2. Start the sale

    Click Check out.

    Add any additional products or services to the sale.

    If you’d like, you can enter a tip here — but the payment terminal will also prompt the customer for a tip later.

    Click Continue.

  3. Select payment method

    • Click Charge.

    • If your card reader isn’t connected, a warning will appear. Click Connect to pair it.

  4. Customer adds a tip (optional)

    • The payment terminal will show the total and ask the customer if they’d like to add a tip.
  5. Process the payment card

    • The customer taps, swipes, or inserts their card on the terminal.
  6. Assign the tip (if applicable)

    • For multi-staff salons, assign the tip to the right staff member.

    • Tips can also be split among multiple staff.

  7. Save and complete the sale

    • Click Save to finalize the transaction.
  8. Send a digital receipt

    • You’ll have the option to email or text a digital receipt to the customer.
